Francisca und ihre Mutter, die früher Chirurgin in Portugal war, wohnen zusammen in einem Landhaus. Die Mutter bringt ihrer Tochter alles über die menschliche Anatomie bei und erklärt ihr, dass sie sich nicht vor dem Tod fürchten muss.
